iceHQ Ducks Fundraising

We’re committed to finding fundraising approaches that create genuine value for our members while helping grow the sport we love. With a focus on community-based initiatives that either reach beyond the club or align with products people already buy as part of everyday life. Every dollar raised is reinvested back into the club to support player development, coaching, equipment, training opportunities, events and programs that help make ice hockey more accessible, inclusive and sustainable.

Turn Your Recycling Into Support for the Ducks

The iceHQ Ducks are registered with Victoria’s Container Deposit Scheme (CDS), which means you can support the club every time you recycle eligible drink containers.

For every eligible can, bottle, or carton returned, 10 cents can be donated directly to the Ducks at no cost to you.

It’s exactly the kind of fundraising initiative we love. It extends beyond our membership base, supports positive environmental outcomes, and allows families to contribute through something they may already do.

Option 1: Donate Through the CDS App

Victoria operates through multiple CDS network zones, so you’ll need to download the app that corresponds with your local refund point.

  1. Download and register the relevant CDS Vic app for your area.

  2. Navigate to Charity Donations.

  3. Search for Ducks Hockey Incorporated.

  4. Select the Ducks as your chosen charity.

  5. When returning containers, scan your personalised barcode at the refund point.

  6. Your container refunds will be automatically donated to the club.

Option 2: Use Our Donation Partner ID

If you don’t use the CDS app, you can still donate directly at participating refund points.

Simply enter the Donation Partner ID or search for Ducks Hockey Incorporated when prompted at the machine or depot.
