11U Head Coach: Jamie Bourke
With an AIHL career spanning 300 games over 16 years, Jamie is putting his experience and passion into coaching the next generation of hockey players.
13U Ducks Head Coach: Jason Richard
As part of the 2024 and 2025 11U Championship coaching team, we’re pleased to welcome Jason back again for 2026, as Head Coach of our 13U Ducks.
Originally from Toronto, Canada, Jason brings 35 years of experience and a passion for the game, helping to develop our young players in both the winter and summer leagues.
13U Flyers Head Coach: Troy Robertson
As one of Australia’s top defensemen, there isn’t much Troy hasn’t done during his hockey career.
From representing Victoria and Australia, playing a season in Canada’s GMHL, and playing 116 AIHL games, Troy is laser-focused on bringing out the best in our players.
13U Flyers Asst. Coach: Jeremy Muir
In addition to his national and international goalie experience, Jeremy coached the Victorian Defris and Brown teams.
In 2022, he was the Assistant Coach for the Melbourne Ducks and is the Head Coach of our Melbourne Ducks AWIHL team.
15U Head Coach: Justin Sheppard
Fresh off his fourth straight championship, Justin returns for a fifth season with the Ducks.
In addition to leading our 15U team, Justin has been the Head Coach of Victoria's Ginsberg (13U) and Defris (15U) teams.
17U Head Coach: Chris Roach
Hot off our 2025 Championship, we’re excited to welcome back Chris Roach as our 17U Head Coach.
Hailing from Vancouver, Canada, Chris has over 130 games in the WA Premier League in addition to serving as an Assistant Coach of Perth Thunder and the WA Tange team.
Chris has also been appointed as Head Coach of the Victorian Tange (18U) team for 2026.
17U Assistant Coach: Gavin Preston
Following three years as an Assistant Coach with our Championship-winning 15U team, we’re super excited to see Gav return to assist our 17U squad.
Hailing from Calgary, Canada, Gav brings a lifetime of hockey experience to our club.
Head of Coaching and Development: Steve Belic
Steve has been with the club since we started, supporting the development of our coaches and players.
Steve returns for another season as our Head of Coaching and Development.
Building on his 160-game AIHL career, Steve is also the Assistant Coach of our AWIHL Ducks and has been appointed Head Coach of the Victorian Ginsberg (13U) squad.
