Following an exceptional 2025 season where the Ducks won gold across all four age divisions, we are thrilled to confirm that our coaching group is returning for 2026.

TEAM SELECTION POLICY

We’re committed to building teams that embody sportsmanship, dedication, and a love for the game. While we aim to accommodate as many players as possible, team sizes are limited to 15 plus a goalie. Selection is based on:

  • Skill Level: Demonstrated ability on the ice.

  • Teamwork: Collaboration and positive team dynamics.

  • Attitude: Sportsmanship and coachability.

  • Commitment: Attendance and engagement.

If we receive more than 15 registrations in a division, we may hold tryouts.

Playing Up Opportunities

The Ducks follow the IHV guidelines for "playing up" in a higher division. This may entail exclusive allocation to the higher division or dual-division participation, depending on team numbers.

Playing up is at coach discretion and permitted under the following conditions:

  • Players must demonstrate the capability to compete effectively at the higher level.

  • Parents or guardians must sign an injury waiver to acknowledge the increased physical risk and skill demands.

  • Only top-age players from a lower division are eligible to play up in the next higher division.

  • IHV must approve the request to play up.

  • Goalies may play up more than one division, depending on team needs and ability.

  • There may be additional game and training fees for dual-division players.

We aim to balance playing up opportunities for capable players with fairness to others in the higher division by minimising dilution of ice time.
